Shawinigan (37-23-8) defeats Victoriaville (28-33-7) 4-3
Sherbrooke (34-29-5) defeats Gatineau (31-32-5) 4-2
Drummondville (33-31-4) defeats Val D'Or (34-29-5) 4-3

Blainville-Boisbrand makes short work of Rouyn-Noranda in an opening round tuneup. Shawinigan and Drummondville both outlast their opponents. Sherbrooke gains revenge on last years shocking loss to Gatineau in the 2nd round.
