Yeah I've made it a point to draft some good young defence in 2nd and 3rd rounds of previous drafts and it is paying off now. Seems like most of my defencemen progress pretty nicely. Pretty sure I drafted Forbes and Blaisdell both in the 2nd round in the draft the one year.
I've got about 10 games left to sim in the regular season. Dietrich looks like he will be back before playoffs which is really nice as it gives us more depth and size up front to work with. Dietrich is a monster 6'3" 236 lbs. Kelterbourne just got hurt for a couple of weeks but he should also be back by playoffs.
I'm still a little worried in net with Misin. Pitcairn has actually been a pretty good backup, leading the OHL in GAA at the moment, so hopefully if Misin has problems in the playoffs, Pitcairn can provide some help.
Really hoping for another shot at the Hitmen in the Memorial Cup this year but first we need to get through the OHL, which won't be a cakewalk.
In a funny twist, Charlottetown will actually be back in the Memorial Cup again this year as they are the host team. Not nearly as good as they were last year though.
If you remember him from the previous thread, Boyd Murphy from Guelph is absolutely ripping up the league this year. He leads in points by almost 30 on the next guy. Guelph and Owen Sound have formed a bit of a rivalry the last couple of seasons as I've noticed a bunch of fights in games with them so hopefully we can play them again in the playoffs which would be fun.
Should be able to start the playoffs this weekend.
