The Brewers lose the NLDS 3-2 to the Reds. Barry Bonds (who signed with the Reds as a free agent in the offseason) hits .444 with 4 dingers to spark the Reds. Kim, who pitched well down the stretch in the bullpen fails to hold the lead in two of the games.
The Expos beat the Reds in the NLCS. Bonds suffers an elbow injury in the first game of the series and will miss almost an entire year of playing time. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy...
The Expos then go on to defeat the Yankees 4-2 in the World Series.
