The 26 man active roster isn't maintained in the offseason (only the 40 man). Perhaps the solution is to patch it and eliminate it at seasons end, with playoff teams selecting straight from the 40.

I guess MLB planned to cross that bridge when they came to it...which is probably 15 months from now at this point...
Sounds like a good solution you have, especially if MLB doesn't actually have concurrent "active" and "postseason" rosters. If they do, then the playoff limits are indeed more restrictive than previously. But I'll assume they don't--unless I'm reading you wrong--and probably just set the expanded active roster limit from 28 to 40 during the playoffs and offseason. Hopefully that doesn't confuse the AI somehow...
