But what's actually used is what role they enter at. So if he's listed as a SP, he might show at 15% status for the next day, but he might still pitch on that day anyways, because the game is treating him there like a reliever, where he might be 70% rested.

Then why would the game not automatically change any starting pitcher in the bullpen from "SP" to "RP"? [don't have OOTP21 but this is the case in OOTP20]
