Pirate roster moves - CF Charlie Tilson is put on irrevocable waivers to make room for SS Kevin Newman. RP Brasier has a minor neck injury and is put on 10 day IL, CL Brandon Brennan is recalled from AAA Indianapolis.
In MLB news;
Oakland RP Zach Duke has announced his retirement at the end of the season. The 14 year veteran was originally drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 20th round of the 2001 draft. The Pirates thank Zach for his contributions and wish him well with his future plans.
