The Red Sox have a better chance to win with Pedro on the mound than they do with Jeff Suppan. Same with the Yankees and Roger vs Weaver. Sorry if the sarcasm came off the wrong way. My basic point is that you put your best players in the positions where they can give you an 'edge' and give you the best chance to win. Obviously the games still have to be played.
And my point is that, so far, the team with the "edge" has lost. Pettitte has been the Yankees best post-season pitcher, while Burkett is, well, Burkett. They lost. The Red Sox had their best pitcher on the mound in game 3. They lost.

The comparison between starting Weaver and starting Clemens was what I was referring to Denton with. It's apples and oranges, and isn't happening, so it has nothing to do with this conversation. Starting Weaver would be assinine, and has no relevance to this conversation. The comparison to Denton might have gone a bit overboard though.

The Red Sox don't have an edge until Pedro shows he's better then what he was in game 3. They don't have an edge just because he's on the mound. THAT is my point. Talking about edges before game time in this series is pointless.
