But see, that's the thing. My experience once a RP eclipses 1000 pi something happens. Maybe it's mental, confidence perhaps? I don't know. It takes an eye to spot it, but he just isn't the same. Well, the fast ball starts to hang a bit. Basically, he thinks he has to strike out every batter, like he's actually terrified of the batter making contact. Sure, you go to the mound to try to get him to calm down. Oh, and they'll complain when I ask for the ball. 'C'mon skip, hell I got another 200, 300 in me, I swear.' Imagine, guy's been throwing for over 17 hours straight, he wants to throw for another 5 or 6. Gotta be firm though. 'Hit the showers kid', I say, 'there's always tomorrow.'
