MVP Baseball Online just completed the 2020 season, about to enter the 2020 Offseason.
This league was created because I was tired of playing in online leagues that suffer from:
- Over-Trading
- Unrealistic Trading
- Fantasy Baseball Rules / Teams
The league will mirror an MLB experience and looking for GM’s who are looking to do the same.
This means as an example, a GM who comes in to take over the Angels is looking out for the best interest of the Angels. Not to trade Trout because they want to blow the team up and rebuild or make any unrealistic moves that would never happen in real MLB. Or to rebuild a team just because. There should be realistic realism behind trades and signings, not just we're not winning the world series so I want to trade my best player for a bunch of prospects.
This league functions by a committee of appointed GM’s who will ensure league health and realism.
Any changes to the league rules or additions, will be voted on by the entire league, as long as these changes fall within realism of an MLB Experience.
Trades will be limited, to preserve the integrity of the league. This means that a GM cannot come in and immediately blow up a roster. We will vote and figure out rules to ensure that there are methods behind moves that are being made. With the bigger moves happening closer to the trade deadline
There will be no huge immediate trades (Ex: I’ve seen Max Scherzer, DeGrom, etc. traded before the season even started in some leagues). Teams are encouraged to see how the season unfolds and pivot from there (win-now, sell, rebuild mode closer to the trade deadline).
