I reimported the schools database and it halfway fixed the issue. The schools page now shows the schools that were missing when I first converted over, which I imagine means there will be no issue going forward.
However, the players who were already drafted have their schools pointing to inncorrect places. Florida points to Florida A&M still, Texas Tech points to Tiffin, LSU points to Lubbock Christian.
I'm imagining that as my league started with a 2017 quickstart, there's some kind of ID mismatch with the current school database and the txt file from 2017. I changed around the ID numbers of two schools in the database that were next to each other and it fixed the issue of that mismatch.
If this is the case, and I have an OOTP 17 schools .txt file available, would I be able to open the files in Excel, perform some lookups to get the IDs to match, and save back as a .txt file, or would the transition of opening the database in excel mess up the format in a way that prevents it from working?
Shy of that, would replacing the schools db with a 2017 version also fix this issue or does the game need this specific schools database?
