If the Warlocks win their Gold 313 Wild Card matchup, there’s a great chance we’ll be in Diamond next season with our 4^th-place overall finish and six teams earning promotion. We face the Rankin Retrievers, a team that went 91-71 and had a strong September. We send Greg Maddux to the mound, while they send Johnny Allen.

They get a run off Maddux in the top of the first, but we respond with three in the bottom of the inning. Maddux settles down and allows just one baserunner over the next five innings. They score in the 7^th to cut it to 3-2, and we bring on Joe Nathan for the 9^th. He gets it done, and we secure a 3-2 win that will likely propel us to Diamond.

We face the Botticino Amatori in the Division Series, and get swept. But the way the rest of the playoffs play out does indeed get us into Diamond for 2030.
