I keep everything ordered by position from here out so I can see what each level needs.

Notice that the major league team still has 60 players (screenshot 1).

Move them all down to AAA, all 60. The players that cant move will stay in the majors. That gives you a bare-bones look at your major league roster and its easy to see what you need to add or trade. I have 11 of 26 players that must be on the 40 or shipped out of town (screenshot 2).

I start at catcher and work my way down to OF moving up my starters at each position. Then I move up the best AAA players that I want as backups in the majors. This is all judgment on who you want in the show.

After I have my 13 hitters I add my pitchers getting to 13. Yay! We have our 26 for opening day!

As you move players up to the show, move down the players that are now in AAA with red arrows to AA.

When you are done you should have your 26 active ready to go, minors still a mess (screenshot 3).
