Suggest starting in 1969, 3 year recalc with some talent change randomness and historical rookies. Players won't perform exactly - a star might end up and average player or vice versa - but you won't see a superstar be a career minor leaguer. Teams I would pick are the Pirates, the Reds, the Orioles, or the A's.
