Damn You Guru!
Spencer Torkelson - my very first draftee at 1-1 in 2020 - is wrapping up not only a Hall of Fame career, but maybe the greatest career in the history of MLB.
Currently 38, Torkelson's many accomplishments include 8 MVP awards, 13 All-Star selections (as a starter each time), 13 Silver Slugger Awards, 5 World Championships, and he's hit 4 HR in a game - twice.
Nearing the end of his career, Torkelson is within striking distance of becoming the all-time HR leader (34 HR behind Giancarlo Stanton) and all-time RBI leader (161 behind Hank Aaron). With over 3,000 hits already, he's a couple of more average seasons from finishing in the Top 10 all-time in that category, too.
