It's really rock-paper-scissors when you boil it down. There isn't one surefire instant spreadsheet winning formula.

My current Iron team features 2 SPs with really good STU and middling MOV and CON, 2 SPs with middling STU and CON, and good MOV, and 1 with really good control and just above average STU and MOV.

Since I tried it, I haven't been swept in a series. I've taken down 3 wins and 4 seconds (in Bo5) just this afternoon. As I type this, I'm 1 win away from the Daily Iron QF. Now, this is a super small sample size, and I have still missed more than I've hit, but this is the most successful I have gotten in iron. It may all turn to smoke as soon as just as I'm typing this.

From what I understand, and this may be 100% wrong, it's stuff v control, movement v power, and control v eye. If your STU is good, but MOV not, then when the power guys do make contact, the ball is going into orbit. If you don't have good control, the good eye guys are going to get to first base more than (insert non PG metaphor here), and without good stuff, the contact guys are going to be racking up hits like they were the Beatles.

Pick your poison and hope your rock comes up against lots of rocks and scissors, and no papers.
