Wyatt Wins Award for AL Dominance:
Whit Wyatt said he thinks hitters often underestimate him, as he's only 22 years old.
But he'll certainly be getting a lot more respect now, as the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos rising star has won the American League Reliever of the Year Award for 2030.
He captured the award on the strength of his 1.41 ERA over 70 innings. He also had 46 saves in 62 relief appearances, 173 strikeouts and only 23 walks.
He received 126 first place votes out of a possible 174. Aroldis Chapman of the Fresno State Bulldogs finished second in voting with 39 first place votes, while Bruce Sutter of the Fresno State Bulldogs finished third with 9 first place votes.
