Bruins Prevail, as Wildcard Goes to the Wire:
It went the distance, but the UCLA Bruins finally disposed of the Seton Hall Pirates 4-3 in the series clincher at Jackie Robinson Stadium.
Winning the finale gave the Bruins the series, 2-1. They will now advance to the Regionals.
The Most Valuable Player Award went to UCLA catcher Adam Lynch. He batted .400 in the series, collecting 3 RBIs and scoring 2 runs.
"Adam deserves it," said Bruins manager Art McMillan. "He was the glue that held our club together."
The UCLA Bruins will play against the Arizona Wildcats in the next round. Arizona won their series against the Houston Cougars 2 games to 0. The Regionals schedule will be announced after the Wildcard finishes.
