Not surprisingly, the Mets were predicted to finish 64-98 and 6th in the NL East. We just aren't very talented yet. Thankfully, we got through the preseason relatively injury free. We lost Ray Searage for 6 weeks but no one else to more than day to day bumps and bruises. I do feel bad for the Texas Rangers. They signed Gaylord Perry to a 1 yr $700,000 contract and lost him to a torn labrum on March 24. He isn't expected back until the end of July or beginning of August.
