Keeler's Hit Streak Reaches 25 Games:
Illinois State right fielder Willie Keeler keeps on racking up hits every time he plays.
His hitting streak now stands at 25 games after collecting 1 hit at Lupton Stadium today. The Redbirds took the 5-3 victory over the TCU Horned Frogs.
"I have been seeing the ball really good the last few weeks, but I am a bit surprised how things are working out," Keeler said. "I've gotten a couple flares to drop in, so I've also been a little lucky."
Willie Keeler singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, was hit by a pitch in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th.
This year Keeler is batting .335 with 9 home runs and 22 RBIs. In 44 games he has scored 33 times.
