Wildcats End Connor's Streak:
Lady Luck was not on the side of Roger Connor or his teammates today at Tointon Family Stadium.
Everything went the way of the Kansas State Wildcats, who not only came away with the 5-4 victory over Southern Illinois, but also held Connor hitless in 3 at-bats to put an end to his 25-game hitting streak.
"It was a good run," Connor said afterward. "It would be much easier to take right now if we had won."
This season Connor is swinging the bat at a .400 pace. He has hit 7 home runs and scored 28 times, while driving in 26. His on-base percentage is .469 and he has played in 36 games.
