So, me and a friend are playing a league. We have draft pick trading enabled, and we got to the 2021 draft. After multiple rounds, he questioned where his 4th round pick went... he had traded his 3rd, 7th and 12th, but didn't trade his 4th.

The 4th round, there was only 31 picks (we are expansion teams, there are 32.) The order is normal, except he is just, gone. He had no pick, and no team had his pick in return.

Is there any other way to have lost this pick completely like this? I thought compensation pick, but there was no one he signed that appears to have a comp attached to them. Is there any other way to have just forfeited the pick entirely like that?
