Bruins Dominate, Sweep Super Regionals:
The Louisville Cardinals were simply overmatched by the UCLA Bruins in the Super Regionals.
The end result was a sweep, as UCLA has cruised to the Semifinals, with the final win coming at Jim Patterson Stadium by a score of 1-0.
"We're clicking and running on all cylinders at the moment," said Frank Chance, who was named MVP of the Super Regionals. "We're a dangerous team when we play like this."
For the series, Chance hit .375 with a .375 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 2 runs.
The UCLA Bruins don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the East Carolina Pirates - Villanova Wildcats series. That series is tied at 1 game apiece. The Semifinals schedule will be announced after the Super Regionals finishes.
