Player to player, it varies.
Sometimes people like them unused so that they call them "mint", maybe the logic is that the player is in fact a member of their team, & only their team?
But the plus side of a used card sometimes is defensive training having increased, at least it was in 2.0 & I doubt it's totally disappeared in 3.0 since it made sense.
Other than that, they are the same card, but we computer nerds have different nerdy ways of looking at it, and some claim that no two cards are the same. Technically right, but I don't think there's a master card or anything, lol...they are all identical copies, I'd guess.
