Hitting/pitching coaches

I know there has been a lot of discussion of this, but I don't think I've ever seen a definitive answer to this question. Are there differences between hitting/pitching coaches other than focus? The only differences we can see are their focus and their reputation (which is only a reflection of experience and results). Are there differences under the hood that make, for example, one pitching coach with a focus on power pitching better than another pitching coach with a focus on power pitching.

Before this season I hired a new pitching coach with a focus on power pitching. My top three starters are all power pitchers. All three of them have gotten markedly worse. Oddly, my other two starters, who are groundballers, are having nice seasons. Does my pitching coach just suck at his job? Was here a way for me to know this?

I'd like to see this aspect of the game enhanced for OOTP 22. Instead of just saying he focuses on power/groundballers/finesse, give him a rating for each like there is for trainers. He's great at improving power, good at improving groundball, poor at improving finesse.
