Our online league is gearing up for the 1938 season with the second weekend of MLB-AA preseason games being simmed tomorrow and then the regular season begins Tuesday. Until then here is an update on this month's boxing match as Max Schmeling completes his final fight before the big rematch with Joe Louis - with the heavyweight title on the line this time.
In addition to baseball and the June Louis-Schmeling rematch we can also look forward to the NFL draft and golf's remaining majors.

SCHMELING IMPRESSIVE IN TUNE UP
Max Schmeling looked very strong in what is expected to be his final tune-up before returning to America to face Joe Louis for the World Heavyweight Championship. Schmeling scored a 4th round TKO over American Steve Dudas in Hamburg, Germany last night to run his record to 52-7-4. Dudas did well for the first two rounds using a strategy to try and stay outside of Schmeling's powerful punches but he was badly hurt when the German connected with a huge punch early in the third round and as the fight neared the end of round four the referee decided Dudas had absorbed enough punishment and elected to stop the contest.
Schmeling will finally get his title shot, facing Louis in New York at Yankee Stadium on June 22nd.
