Don't matter if you new to this. Forum loves to rip people apart with any questions ie: insulting intelligence, favorite team, legit questions...anything really. But for your question I prefer "used" cards bc most of the time their trained defensive skills are there already. Just my preference but as far as performance of card. I'm sure somebody has a spreadsheet somewhere with all that figured out....which would be MEH to do...Good Luck! FYI..These forums bite
