UC San Diego Halts Ozuna's Hitting Steak:
Marcell Ozuna went 0-for-3 at J. C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park today to break his consecutive-game hitting streak at 35 games. The 27-year-old Louisiana Tech left fielder failed to get a hit today in the Bulldogs 6-3 victory over the UC San Diego Tritons at J. C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park.
Ozuna did not make himself available to reporters after the game.
"I think Marcell is a little upset," Louisiana Tech manager Rob Fuqua said. "He'll get over it."
So far this season Ozuna has hit .368 with 13 home runs, 29 RBIs and scored 38 times.
