That knocks out HRs except maybe some out of the entire park shot (contender but not winner) because within broad categories the flight of a HR ball isn't recognizably unique. Some tower, some are liners, some are reasonably high and crawl over the fence but in the big picture there's nothing unique.
Pretty much the same with a pitch. Some are really pretty, some aren't, but a lot of the beauty of a successful pitch is the batters reaction to the ball which since we're counting this as a pitcher's play makes the batter not the one doing the great play.
Gotta be a fielding play. Probably some kind of infield play. An outfield catch alone wouldn't do it no matter how spectacular... unless he then threw someone out with a magnificent throw.
Back on the first thread on this by the flag waver, I posted Maz hitting into a triple play in the movie The Odd Couple because it wasn't a real play and neither was that OP's nomination. But maybe there's a slick triple play.
The one with Neil Walker and Jung Ho Kang doesn't make it because Kang hesitated and didn't realize what he had.

I agree home runs are not great plays. They can make great moments depending on the situation.
