UConn Trades Yount for Creighton's Guzman:
The Baseball News Network is reporting that the Huskies and Blue Jays have consummated a trade. Creighton will receive 26-year-old 3B Robin Yount in a swap for 21-year-old RHP Jose Guzman and 22-year-old LHP Tanner Scott. A league analyst called the trade a "fairly even transaction."
Yount is hitting the ball at a .282 clip over his career. In 496 games he has delivered 540 hits, 66 home runs with 240 RBIs and scored 236 times.
To date in Guzman's career he has 15 saves with a 6-6 record and a 5.99 ERA.
