  • Ratings changed from 1-20 to 1-10
  • The Sacramento River Cats shocked the IBL in sweeping the 2 time defending Champion Bulldogs out of the playoffs 1st round. They rolled over Chicago 4-1 in the 2nd round and entered the World Series vs Houston where they promptly won the 1st two games in Sacramento. It would be the last time they won a game as the Houston Apollos would be the first IBL team down 2-0 in a post-season series to win 4 straight and take home the 2007 title.
  • Apollo CF Dennis Apolito took home the WS MVP.
  • Denver Grizzlie Mike Arnold started the year in the bullpen. He got his 1st start on May 11th and went 7.1 IP striking out 10 in a 7-0 win in Portland. In his first 8 starts he would strike out 12, 13, 13, 12, 16, 13, 10, and 10, His next 6 starts he would fan 7, 14, 10, 15, 5, 8. All that to lead up to his final 14 starts which would yield these totals 14, 11, 13, 17,15, 15, 22, 11, 12, 11, 16, 12, 14, 16.
  • On September 7th he fanned 22 Dallas Texans over 9 innings of a 7-3 win.
  • Those final 13 starts would yield this stat line.
  • 13 starts 11-1 2.04 ERA 10 CG 127.2 IP 66 hits 37 BB 189 K's and a PBL record 11 straight 10K+ games. The final two starts were made in the playoffs including his last start which was a 1-hit complete game loss at Chicago 1-0 in which he walked 2 and fanned 14. He was the only IBL pitcher to record 300 K's on the year, finishing with an FL best 351.
  • For the series he was 0-1 14 IP 6 H 2 BB 25 K's with a 1.93 ERA. His only hiccup? During that same run he yielded 18 home runs.
  • Jaime Greif (PIT) at .336 and Brock Vasher (LAN) at .306 were the batting champions.
  • Gary Buteaux (CHI) and Jason Fisher (PIT) tied for the Frontier league HR title at 49 while superstar Branden Simmons (AZ) ran away from the CL with 65.
  • This years no-hitters: Shosuke Onizuka (CHA vs POR) Ryan Killeen (SAC vs POR) Matt Russo (SI vs AUS) Mike Hunt (LB vs SAC) Jeremy Ratto (LAN vs FTW) Danny Yanez (SAN vs SI)
  • Denver's Arnout van der Ploeg threw the 2nd perfect game in IBL history on August 8th vs Boston.
  • Denver's Glen Tylor hit .320/.388/.589 with 28 HR to win the Ruth award
  • Denver's Mike Arnold went 20-3 1.91 351 K's to win his 1st Koufax and Denver's 2nd in a row.
  • Dallas rookie Alonzo Herrera hit 18 HR's and went home with the Rookie of the Year award
  • Pittsburgh's Eddie Sadewasser took home his 4th, and 2nd straight Mariano Rivera Award going 5-2 56 saves and an ERA of 0.41
  • Grizzly backstop Glen Tylor took home gold glove #5, his 4th straight.
  • Over in the Continental Arizona star Branden Simmons won his 3rd straight MVP and 4th overall hitting .296/.368/.667 with 65 HR's
  • LA's Tom Bullen went 16-9 2.33 to win his 2nd Koufax
  • Lancaster rookie Danny Ibarra hit .317/.371/.497 to win the Jackie Robinson award
  • LA Closer Miguel Ortiz went 6-2 2 Saves 1.95 to win his 2nd Rivera. He won his first with Memphis in 2005
