- Chicago's Louwe van Vugt wins the Ruth award (.257/.367/.562 48 HR 9 WAR) while his teammate Oscar Reyes wins the Koufax going 21-6 1.89 247 IP.
- Portland Pioneer rookie Brad Davis takes home Rookie honors hitting .330/.382/.406 w/ 3.3 WAR
- Toldeo Cougar Cameron Keels wins the Rivera. 8-2 10 SV 1.09 ERA 74 IP 29 H 26 BB 149 K 0.74 WHIP 19.1 K/9
- Lancaster Antelope Danny Gonzalez takes home MVP honors hitting .280/.344/.570 43 HR 10.2 WAR
- LA hurler Tom Bullen the Koufax going 19-9 2.14 289.2 IP and his teammate rookie Brett McCurry wins the rookie of the year honors hitting .303/.336/.395
- OKC closer Jeremy Summerlin wins the Rivera award after saving 38 games with a 0.45 ERA! In 80.1 innings he yields just 28 hits, walks 22 and fans 145 for a 0.62 WHIP. The 30 year old already has 114 saves in the leagues first three seasons. He is the only reliever in the game that has gotten two pitches graded at 100 by the OSA. In 3 years he is 13-11 114 Saves 1.04 ERA. Over 215.2 innings he has yielded just 94 hits and 92 BB to 411 K's. That is a 0.86 WHIP, 3.8 BB/9 17.2 K/9 and he has accumulated 15.2 WAR. He's allowing 3.9 H/9 and is sporting a 6.6 K/BB ration. His FIP? Check this out: 0.94 in 2000, 0.89 in 2001 and a miniscule 0.35 in 2002. 3 year FIP = 0.70.
- Those 114 saves have come in 119 opportunities for a .958 SV%. He's allowed just 5 of 29 IR to score for an IRS% of 17.2%.
- Lastly, he held the league to an unearthly .105 OppAvg dropping his 3 year total to .130. That's over 830 batters.
- Dallas RHP Jean-Michel Deusdar has his 3rd career 15+ K game in a win over Chicago but the very next start suffered a torn UCL and will miss the next 8 months.
- Chicago phenom Oscar Reyes had three starts in September striking out 15 on the 11th, and then 17 on the 26th and 16 on the 31st. The 19 year old had 6 games this season alone of 15+ K's. He did it twice to Dallas. To top it all off Reyes season ended with him winning the 1st pitching triple crown in league history. He also set the record for strikeouts in a season with 385.
- Speaking of 300 K's, Meurs did it for a 3rd time (331) Charlotte's Rudolfo Munoz (309), Memphis Shane Wright (322 and also just 19 years old) LA's Tom Bullen had 321, San Antonio's Riemer Hoogenboezem (favorite name so far!) had 306 and Austin's Steve Tison fell a K short at 299.
- Los Angeles Seraph Tom “Baby Bull” Bullen became the first pitcher in the IBL to toss 2 no-hitters as he no-hit Austin for a second time after no-hitting them in 2001.
