Joey Votto hit a historic home run today -- career blast number 300. "I am happy to be in such elite company. It has been quite a ride so far," Votto said after the game.
The Tigers first baseman went 3 for 4 with 1 home run and 4 RBI as the Memphis Tigers won 10-5 over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
During his 856-game career Votto has batted .326 and collected 1053 hits, 300 home runs and 756 RBIs.
