Walsh Grabs AL Reliever of the Year Award:
At the young age of only 22, Ed Walsh has been named the American League Reliever of the Year Award winner for 2027.
The future appears bright for the Indiana State Sycamores relief ace, who captured the award with 32 saves in 56 relief appearances, 116 strikeouts in 65.1 innings and a record of 3-2 to go with his 0.96 ERA.
He received 93 first place votes out of a possible 146. Dave Landeros of the Rice Owls finished second in voting with 52 first place votes, while John Wetteland of the Florida International Panthers finished third.
