Kansas State Takes Regionals in Deciding Game:
A classic and dramatic Regionals has wrapped up, with the Kansas State Wildcats outlasting the Arkansas Razorbacks to advance to the Super Regionals.
Kansas State won the final game by a score of 5-1 and took the series 2-1.
"We can enjoy this one tonight, but then it's back to work and thinking about the next win," said Kansas State right fielder Skip Schumaker, whose standout performance earned him the nod as series MVP.
Schumaker hit .462 with a .462 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 5 runs.
The Kansas State Wildcats will play against the Montana State Bobcats in the next round. Montana State won their series against the Auburn Tigers 2 games to 0. The Super Regionals schedule will be announced after the Regionals finishes.
