Nittany Lions Dominate, Sweep Regionals:
The UCF Knights were simply overmatched by the Penn State Nittany Lions in the Regionals.
The end result was a sweep, as Penn State has cruised to the Super Regionals, with the final win coming at John Euliano Park by a score of 6-4.
"We're clicking and running on all cylinders at the moment," said Elio Chacon, who was named MVP of the Regionals. "We're a dangerous team when we play like this."
For the series, Chacon hit .667 with a .700 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 1 runs.
The Penn State Nittany Lions will play against the Louisville Cardinals in the next round. Louisville won their series against the Miami Hurricanes 2 games to 0.
