1914
The 1914 World Series featured a sweep of the Boston Braves over the Philadelphia A's. Not a whole lot of drama with that World Series. In our simulations however, we had much better drama. In the no injury sim it was the Boston Red Sox, not the Braves that lead the way for most of the season. As well as Boston played the Philadelphia A's were hot on their tails. After the final day of the season both teams were sitting at 101-49. It would be our first tiebreaker challenge. Herb Pennock for Philadelphia and Ernie Shore for Boston were both outstanding from the mound. Rube Ordling who played LF for the A's had a big game with a triple and a round tripper to help power the A's to the 3-1 win. With injuries turned on the drama wasn't anywhere near as good as the A's won the league by 9 games. The Red Sox surely missed a window of opportunity.
No injury: Philadelphia A's
