Yeah, those things happened
I'm pretty sure when Sandy Alderson was around they signed an FA or extended someone he had expressly said he didn't want, sorry I don't remember who now. And man, I'm playing a season in 21 and NOBODY will touch Cano, he's worse than Barry Zito used to be for the Giants. In my latest season I got Rougned Odor in a salary dump from TEX and started playing him, he's an upgrade but now I have $20M spent on a designated hitter in the NL. Sigh.
