Van Slyke Hits for Cycle Against Marshall:
Kentucky center fielder Andy Van Slyke had a stellar day today at Kentucky Proud Park. His 4-hit day included a cycle and 3 RBI and was instrumental in the 14-8 Wildcats victory over the Marshall Thundering Herd.
"I felt just about perfect up there," Van Slyke said.
Andy Van Slyke hit a solo-shot off Alex Kellner in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and hit a two-run triple in the 8th.
Presently Van Slyke is batting .380 with 22 home runs and 42 RBIs. He has played in 38 games and scored 41 times.
