Athletics 4, Red Sox 3. An RBI single by Sean Murphy put the A's ahead in the eighth inning, and Liam Hendriks held on for his fifth save. Andrew Benintendi had a two-run home run for the Red Sox, and Stephen Piscotty reached base three times for the Athletics.

Yankees 4, Rangers 1. J.A. Happ struck out nine in 6 2/3 innings to get the win for the Yankees. Luke Voit had three hits to lead the New York offense.

Tigers 7, Indians 2. Jordan Zimmermann allowed two runs over 7 1/3 innings for the Tigers. Austin Romine and Cameron Maybin homered for Detroit.

Cubs 6, Orioles 1. Jon Lester held Baltimore scoreless through seven innings, striking out seven. Anthony Rizzo and Kyle Schwarber both hit home runs to lead the Cubs to victory.

Blue Jays 5, Twins 2. Randal Grichuk had three hits, including a home run, to help the Jays to the win. Chase Anderson went six innings and struck out nine.

Astros 3, Rays 0. Zach Greinke was dominant in this one, striking out twelve, allowing no walks, and holding the Rays to four hits over eight innings. Alex Bregman reached base four times for the Astros, and Aledmys Diaz had three hits.

White Sox 4, Royals 2. Dylan Cease threw 5 2/3 scoreless innings, striking out seven for the White Sox. Nomar Mazara homered in the victory.

Marlins 4, Angels 2. Jon Berti had three hits to lead Miami to the win. Sandy Alcantara got the victory, allowing one run over 6 2/3 innings.

Reds 11, Giants 1. Nick Castellanos had a huge day for the Reds, hitting two home runs, and collecting three hits, three runs scored, and three RBI total. Shogo Akiyama also had three hits for the Reds. Luis Castillo went eight innings to pick up the win.

Mets 7, Braves 3. Brandon Nimmo had three hits, including a home run, and drove in four for the Mets. Jeff McNeil chipped in with a homer as well, and Rick Porcello was effective over seven innings.

Phillies 9, Brewers 5. The Phils hung six runs on the Brewers in the sixth inning, with Vince Velasquez providing a key hit. Jean Segura had four hits for Philadelphia, and Jay Bruce to increase his NL-leading RBI total to 24.

Pirates 6, Diamondbacks 4. Gregory Polanco had three hits, including a home run, for the Pirates. Carson Kelly drove in three for the losing Diamondbacks.

Padres 1, Rockies 0. Zach Davies pitched well, holding the Rockies scoreless over 6 2/3 innings, and also provided the game's only run with a single in the second inning. Kirby Yates squelched an eighth-inning rally to pick up a four-out save.

Dodgers 3, Cardinals 2. Cody Bellinger homered and Max Muncy walked four times to lead the Dodgers to the win. Zach McAllister pitched two scoreless innings in relief to pick up the victory and Kenley Jansen got his fourth save.
