In the top of the sixth, the Yankees loaded the bases with two out. But Pennock could only ground back to the pitcher and the Yankees came away empty.

In the top of the eighth, Collins came through with a huge two-out RBI single. Pennock then brought Collins home with a double. Meusel scored Pennock with a single.
In the top of the ninth, with a runner on first and two out, Red Faber took the mound for the White Sox. Koenig went on to get a two-out RBI single.
The Yankees got 13 hits in the win.
