Boston College Advances to Regionals:
Mark one up for the Boston College Eagles.
In the crucial final game, they put away the Utah Utes 4-1 at Smith's Ballpark to win the Wildcard, 2-1 and advance to the Regionals.
Although his team came up short, Utah's Dusty Denny was named the series MVP, with many of the league media feeling the series would have been over much sooner if not for his contributions.
"Denny did a lot to keep Utah in it, no doubt about that," said Eagles manager Roberto Alcazar.
The Boston College Eagles will play against the Oregon State Beavers in the next round. Oregon State won their series against the North Carolina Tar Heels 2 games to 1. The Regionals schedule will be announced after the Wildcard finishes.
