Tonight is the second game in the series in Seattle between the Mariners and the Anaheim Angels. Last night, the Mariners improved to 4-3 at home on the season.

Montreal Expos CL Ugueth Urbina will be out for six days due to a mild shoulder strain.

In the bottom of the second, Olerud scored from second when Glaus committed a throwing error after fielding a McLemore two-out grounder. Wilson then made the error very costly as he followed with a 411 foot three-run homer.

In the top of the third, Palmeiro put the Angels on the board with a two-out single. Glaus followed with his own run-scoring single.

In the bottom of the third, Olerud hit a two-out RBI double. It was the first earned run for either team in the game. Guillen followed with a double to score Olerud.

After three: Seattle 6 Anaheim 2.

In the bottom of the fourth, Suzuki picked up an RBI with a sacrifice fly.

In the top of the fifth, Anderson came through with a two-out two-run double.

In the bottom of the fifth, Scott Schoeneweis took the mound for the Angels. Bell got a two-out RBI single.

In the bottom of the sixth, following a lead off single, Shigetoshi Hasegawa took the mound for the Angels. Suzuki increased the Mariners the lead with an RBI single.

After six: Seattle 9 Anaheim 4.

In the top of the seventh, Wooten led off with a 400 foot homer.

In the bottom of the seventh, the Mariners loaded the bases with one out. Wilson then sent a grand slam 358 feet for his second homer of the game. With the bases empty and one out, Ben Weber took the mound for the Angels.

In the top of the eighth, Jeff Nelson took the mound for the Mariners.

In the bottom of the eighth, Martinez led off with a 410 foot homer.

In the top of the ninth, Nelson struck out the side around a pitch that hit Eckstein.

The Mariners got 16 hits in the win. Olerud and Wilson tied the AL regular season game record for runs scored with 4. Wilson set the AL regular season game record for RBI with 7.

Final score: Seattle 14 Anaheim 5.
