Jose Quintana was diagnosed with a ruptured UCL and will miss the rest of the season.


Scores:

Angels 7, Tigers 2. Jared Walsh was three for four with a home run, driving in three runs in the Angels' win. Anthony Rendon also had three hits, and Mike Trout hit his sixth home run. Shohei Ohtani struck out nine and allowed one run in seven innings.

Twins 5, White Sox 3. Mitch Garver reached base four times, and his two-run home run helped the Twins score five in the fifth inning to get the win. Kenta Maeda pitched five innings for the victory. Miguel Sano hit his league-leading seventh home run.

Blue Jays 2, Royals 1. Danny Salazar allowed one run and struck out eight over 6 1/3 innings to shut down the Kansas City offense. Anthony Alford's two-run home run provided all the offense for Toronto.

Orioles 7, Pirates 2. Rio Ruiz was three for three with a walk for Baltimore, and Hanser Alberto also had three hits. Alex Cobb threw seven innings of one-run ball for the Orioles.

Indians 7, Rays 3. Roberto Perez hit a three-run homer to lead the Indians to victory, and Jose Ramirez also drove in three. Clay Buchholz pitched into the eighth inning to get the win.

Astros 7, Rangers 2. Alex Bregman hit a grand slam, his sixth home run of the season, to lead the Astros offense. Jose Urquidy allowed two runs over eight innings and got the win.

Yankees 10, Athletics 3. Mike Ford had three hits, including a home run, and drove in five as the Yankees rolled. Brett Gardner also had three hits, and Jordan Montgomery picked up an easy win.

Red Sox 9, Mariners 5. Christian Vazquez was three for three, including two doubles, for the Red Sox. Kyle Seager homered and drove in three for the Mariners, but the Sox got ahead early and never looked back.

Cubs 5, Cardinals 3. Javier Baez homered twice as the Cubs topped the Cards. Yu Darvish went 5 1/3 innings for the win.

Phillies 6, Reds 5. J.T. Realmuto hit a three-run homer in the first inning to put the Phils ahead. The Reds chipped away, but ultimately relievers Jose Alvarez and Hector Neris shut things down.

Braves 4, Marlins 2. Mike Soroka allowed one run over eight innings as the Braves won. Marcell Ozuna's two-run single in the sixth inning helped put Atlanta ahead.

Mets 4, Brewers 1. The Mets won thanks to the pitching of Steven Matz, who went 7 1/3 innings and allowed one run. Brandon Nimmo drove in two for the Mets.

Diamondbacks 4, Rockies 3 (10 innings). The Rockies tied the score with three ninth-inning runs off Hector Rondon and Yoan Lopez, but Nick Ahmed hit a walk-off single the next inning for Arizona. The bullpen had squandered a spectacular effort by Robbie Ray, who allowed one hit and struck out ten over eight innings.

Nationals 8, Dodgers 6. Victor Robles hit a grand slam to help bring the Nationals back in this one. Gavin Lux and Cody Bellinger both had three hits in a losing cause.

Giants vs Padres was rescheduled due to rain.
