Tonight, the Mariners look to complete the three-game series sweep at home against the Texas Rangers. The Mariners have outscored the Rangers 29-6 so far this series.

The Minnesota Twins signed CL LaTroy Hawkins to a 2-year contract extension worth a total of $2,280,000.

In the bottom of the first, Cameron led off with a 382 foot shot. Boone hit a 418 foot solo home run with two out.

In the top of the third, the Rangers loaded the bases with two out. But Rodriguez flew to center to retire the side.

In the top of the fourth, Kapler delivered a two-out solo home run 380 feet. Later in the same inning, Velarde tied it with an RBI single.

In the bottom of the fifth, Martinez put the Mariners back in the lead with a two-out two-run homer that traveled 419 feet.

In the top of the sixth, the Rangers loaded the bases with two out. Norm Charlton took the mound for the Mariners. Mirabelli hit an RBI single to make it a one-run game. Charlton then struck out Catalanotto to retire the side.

After six: Seattle 4 Texas 3.

In the top of the seventh, Palmeiro tied the game with a sacrifice fly.

In the top of the eighth, with a runner on first and one out, Jeff Nelson took the mound for the Mariners. The Rangers went on to load the bases with one out. Galarraga brought the go-ahead run home with a sacrifice fly.

In the bottom of the eighth, Mike Venafro took the mound for the Rangers.

In the top of the ninth, Kazuhiro Sasaki took the mound for the Mariners. Palmeiro would score on a passed ball. Velarde added an insurance run with a two-out infield single to score Sierra from third. With a runner on first and two out, Joel Pineiro took the mound for the Mariners.

In the bottom of the ninth, Jeff Zimmerman took the mound for the Rangers with a three-run lead.

The Rangers got 11 hits to end their losing streak.

Final score: Texas 7 Seattle 4.
