Orioles 4, Yankees 3. Renato Nunez's two-run home run extended the Orioles lead to 4-0 in the fifth inning, and the club held on for the win. John Means got the win and Mychal Givens picked up the save.

Indians 6, Rays 1. Zach Plesac threw eight scoreless innings and struck out eleven for the Indians. Franmil Reyes and Francisco Lindor both homered for the Tribe.

Royals 4, Blue Jays 1. Seven Royals pitchers combined to shut down the Blue Jays' offense. Scott Barlow got the win and Ian Kennedy got his fifth save. The Royals overcame a big day by Randal Grichuk, who was three for three with a home run.

Red Sox 6, Mariners 4. Rafael Devers put the Red Sox ahead with a three-run homer in the first inning. Martin Perez went 6 1/3 innings for the win, and Matt Barnes notched his sixth save.

Cubs 2, Pirates 1. The Cubs mustered only two hits in the game, but that was enough to beat the Pirates. Jon Lester was effective over five innings and four relievers closed things out. The Cubs scored both runs in the first inning.

Cardinals 3, Dodgers 1. Dakota Hudson held the Dodgers to just one hit and one run over 7 2/3 innings. The Cardinals scored three early runs for Hudson, and his opponent David Price left the game in the first inning with an injury.

Diamondbacks 6, Giants 4 (10 innings). Christian Walker's two-run triple in the tenth inning put Arizona in front, and Archie Bradley shut the door for the save. Nick Ahmed had a three-run homer for the D-Backs.

Reds 3, Phillies 2. Trevor Bauer went 6 1/3 innings and allowed two runs to get the win. Francisco Pena's fifth-inning home run put the Reds up for good.

Marlins 4, Braves 1. Elieser Hernandez allowed just one run in eight innings for Miami. The Marlins mustered just four hits, but one was a two-run home run off the bat of Brian Anderson.

Mets 9, Brewers 3. Pete Alonso hit two home runs and drove in five runs as the Mets got an easy victory. Amed Rosario had three hits, and the Brewers burned through eight pitchers on the day.
