Gauchos Win Tight American League American West Race: The UC Santa Barbara Gauchos have won their division, but have a much larger goal in mind.

"No one will look back on this season and remember the American League American West champions. People will remember the College World Series champions," said manager Scott Brown. "That's what this is all about, but of course we needed this first to get there."

The club's division win is the 1st for the franchise and they will be seeking their 1st College World Series.
