In the top of the first, Boone extended his hitting streak to 11 games with a two-out RBI triple.
In the top of the second, Wilson brought a run in with a sacrifice fly.
In the bottom of the third, the Angels loaded the bases with nobody out. Kennedy scored when Eckstein grounded into the 4-6-3.

In the top of the sixth, following a lead off walk Shigetoshi Hasegawa took the mound for the Angels. The Mariners went on to load the bases with nobody out. Guillen grounded into the 6-2 fielder's choice for the first out. Bell flew to center without bringing home a run for the second out. McLemore then grounded to second and the Mariners failed to score.
In the bottom of the second, Glaus scored from third when Boone committed a throwing error after fielding an Erstad grounder and the game was tied.

In the top of the seventh, with runners at first and second and nobody out, Lou Pote took the mound for the Angels and got out of the inning with the score still tied.
In the bottom of the seventh, Jeff Nelson took the mound for the Mariners.
In the top of the eighth, with the bases empty and one out, Mike Holtz took the mound for the Angels. After Holtz struck out Olerud, Ben Weber took the mound for the Angels.
In the top of the ninth, Troy Percival took the mound for the Angels.
In the bottom of the ninth, Eckstein hit a two-out RBI single to end the Mariners winning streak.
