1909
The real World Series in 1909 featured a thrilling 7 game series between the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Detroit Tigers. The Pirates would win the series and would also factor in our simulations. In the no injury field the Pirates were able to hold off both the Cubs and the A's as all three teams won at least 100 games. With injuries enabled the Pirates won a few less games but were easily the class of the simulation.
