I obviously don't know if this was any part of the plan, but the move severely limits the ability to act as a "market maker" in WS parlance and control the flow of popular players. i suspect the margins are significantly smaller and this could operate to keep market supply from being manipulated. Whether or not that is the goal, it does have advantages for those buying as opposed to buying & selling cards.
