I just made it to the 2020 off-season, and I'm stumped as to how I should handle the fact that I no longer have 40 spots on the active roster when signing free agents. I feel like this could lead to unnecessary or premature cuts. Has anyone done any testing with temporarily setting the expanded roster size back to 40 for the off-season. IIRC, this is how it is in real life. Effectively, when I'm signing new free agents, I am forced to make cuts that I may otherwise wait to make until the conclusion of spring training.
